
Biography
The band was originally founded by the Johnson family in the town of Pe Ell, WA.
With guidance
from their musically gifted family, the three boys started playing together and
soon became serious about
their band. Currently, the group consists of three brothers; Nolan Johnson
(vocals/ Bass guitar), Graham
Johnson (drums/vocals) & Seth Johnson (guitar/vocals).
The combined age for these 3 young men is a meager 44 years old.
The oldest member of the group is only 17 years of age while the youngest is 13.
Their father and mentor, Jon Johnson also performed under
the name “Numbskulz” in the early 80’s with his brother Josh Johnson.
The Numbskulz have played at many venues in the Southwest Washington area
including the Southwest
Washington Fair Grounds and the Pe Ell Independence Day Parade. The group has
also played at venues in
the South Puget Sound area as well including The Capital Theatre and Clubside
Cafe.
The Numbskulz are beginning to acquire a strong fan base
within the Greater Lewis County area.
The Numbskulz’ music is comprised of rock-n-roll, punk rock and alternative
rhythms and vocals. Because of
their youth, the Numbskulz’ style of play is suitable for all age groups and
appeals to a wide variety of
audiences varying from their peers to senior citizens.
All of the group's original material is written by the
members themselves and
is inspired by events going on in the world or by life experiences. A
demo CD is available for a meager price as well as a growing line of
merchandise. The group also performs certain cover songs by the bands that
inspire them
such as Weezer and the Ramones. The Numbskulz are comprised of young,
talented musicians that are sure to impress people of all ages with
their musical abilities.
